Chris Posti is a seasoned executive coach, job search expert, human resources consultant, newspaper columnist, and author. (She’s also a vegan, which explains how she has the energy to do all that!) Her driving passion is enabling people to realize their full potential in both their careers and their lives, and that’s why we invited her here to speak to us today.
Chris writes a monthly “Career Coach” column for the Sunday Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and she has written two books: Marriage On and Off the Rocks, which is about behavior change in relationships, and The Shortest Distance between You and your New Job, which just came out this year. (By the way, both of these books will be available for purchase right after we hear from Chris.)
Chris founded her company, Posti & Associates, 21 years ago. Before that, she held positions in technology, banking, manufacturing, and academia. She has lived and worked not only in Pittsburgh, but also Carmel, California; and Lausanne, Switzerland.
Her clients are primarily in Western Pennsylvania and include employers of all sizes and industries, for example: Eat ‘n Park, Heinz, Glaxo Smith Kline, PPG, Community College of Beaver County, Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, Holy Family Institute, CVS/Caremark, Staples, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Our hope is that you will leave with a better understand of how these platforms can be used effectively and be a bit more comfortable with diving into social media and having fun!
Healthy Living
Dr. Michael Bummer
Dr. Bummer will be leading a discussion on healthy living and discuss steps and concepts to help women lead a healthier lifestyle. Topics will include diet, exercise, preventative medicine, and common gynecologic conditions. Discussion will be casual and questions are welcome.
Personality Compass: A New Tool to Improve Interaction with Others

A powerful new personality typing tool, used successfully over the past 15 years in Europe, Australia and Great Britain by companies such as IBM, Merck, Volkswagen, DeBeers, is now being introduced to the US. The powerful difference between the Compass and others like DiSC and Myers-Briggs, is that this system is simple, accurate and easily retained. While it gives each individual invaluable, accurate information about themselves, it is especially useful in understanding others. The information garnered helps vastly improve how you interact and communicate with others around you. As one engineer commented: This should be required before anyone gets a marriage license!
Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Gynecologic Problems

Dr. Michael Bummer will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of the most common gynecologic problems. Disorders of heavy menstrual bleeding, fibroid tumors, contraception, and urinary incontinence are very common and may have life changing consequences. Dr. Bummer will discuss important warning signs and therapeutic options, with particular attention focused on minimally-invasive techniques, such as robotic surgery and other forms of minimally-invasive therapies.
